OUR MAIN PASSION IS GOOD HORSES and coming from ranches has instilled this necessity in both of us and made it spill over into the rodeo arena.  We continuously strive to improve the quality of our herd - we never breed a mare until she has a LIST OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS that meet our satisfaction.  It is very important to us that the foals on our place are not just good but GREAT.  CORRECT CONFORMATION IS NUMBER 1 AT THE HAUGEN RANCH!  OUR PHILOSOPHY IS SIMPLE WHEN IT COMES TO BROODMARES - if she wasn't good enough TO WIN, she isn't good enough TO BREED.  Although simple, we are certain that this philosophy enables us to have great horses for ourselves and in the future for our children.
